Perdaman CERES Project – Karratha, WA

Perdaman CERES Project

Multi-Crane Support for a Landmark Industrial Development

Ashburton Crane Hire is providing ongoing craneage support to the Perdaman Chemicals and Fertilisers CERES Project in Karratha, one of the most significant industrial developments currently underway in Western Australia.

The CERES project is designed to establish Australia’s largest urea manufacturing facility, forming part of Perdaman’s long-term investment in domestic fertiliser production. Ashburton Crane Hire has been engaged on this project since December 2024, working under Whitmans, who are contracting to Clough.

Scope of Works

ACH has maintained a consistent on-site presence, supplying three mobile cranes and a dedicated crew of operators and riggers to support a wide range of construction activities, including:

  • Coordinated multi-crane lifts
  • Structural steel erection support
  • Mechanical and process plant installation
  • Lifts within constrained and live construction zones

These works required detailed lift planning, close coordination with multiple contractors, and strict adherence to site safety systems due to the scale and complexity of the facility.

Project Delivery

With a long-term crew embedded on site, Ashburton Crane Hire has provided continuity, flexibility, and safe execution as the project progresses through staged construction phases. The team continues to support evolving lift requirements as the CERES facility moves closer to completion.
